Liverpool completed a first league double over their great rivals in five years last season, Steven Gerrard scoring two penalties in their 3-0 win at Old Trafford in March. United had won eight of the previous nine home league games against the Reds. Which way will the pendulum swing in their first meeting of the 2014-15 campaign? Tottenham travelled to Swansea in the day's other game, a fixture Spurs have historically enjoyed in Premier League past. The north London club have won five of the previous six meetings, only dropping points in their first meeting back in December 2011.
